Shanghai_Metro_bmp
Sales of BLUEWAVE in China have started off with a large order. In the future, 79 active harmonic filters, each with 120 amps and four-conductor technology, will ensure superior power quality in the Shanghai subway. The technological advantages of BLUEWAVE were decisive for decision-makers. Besides fast response times and a compact design, they were also convinced by the simple installation of these active harmonic filters from Germany. The Chinese metropole is modernizing and expanding its Metro network for lines 10 and 2 for the 2010 Expo. Since an extensive range of power electronics is used here, compensation of harmonic oscillations and reactive power in the network feeding nodes is essential. Our Chinese sales partner IN-Power will supply and install these filters with an overall compensating current of approximately 8000 amps.

BLUEWAVE at the eltefa

eltefa2007

At the eltefa in Stuttgart, several companies presented BLUEWAVE to interested business visitors From September 26-28, sales partners Bürkle + Schöck, KBR, and Modl welcomed numerous visitors to their stands in hall 4 and convinced them of the active harmonic filter's superior features. Using model circuits, they demonstrated BLUEWAVE's performance under real conditions. The 300-amp BLUEWAVE industrial version was also shown for the first time. Sales partner Modl was the first to present this brand-new device to business visitors at a trade fair. With extremely short service times (MTTR < 15 minutes) and a high degree of protection (IP 54), the BLUEWAVE 300 A is perfectly suited for industrial applications. With a total exhibition space of 35,000 square meters, the booming electronics fair was held in the new Trade Fair Centre in Stuttgart for the first time. This year, the eltefa expanded again, with almost 26,000 visitors and over 400 exhibitors.

BLUEWAVE 300A for industrial applications

BLUEWAVE 300A

Along with the lower power variants, the BLUEWAVE active harmonic filter is now also available in an especially powerful industrial variant. With 300 A of filter current, the device has enormous power, enough to provide enough compensation current for even the very large electric consumers. The BLUEWAVE 300 A also has features which are particularly advantageous in rough production conditions: Thanks to its modular design and defined interfaces, the device can be serviced in a very short time (MTTR<15 minutes). The compact cabinet device in IP54 is ready to connect and guarantees the required level of protection for the electronics inside. Internal liquid cooling makes the product reliable and independent.

Just like the smaller 30 and 50-amp versions in IP20, the BLUEWAVE 300 A also provides incredibly fast compensation. A reaction time of 300 microseconds means that it compensates up to the 50th harmonic oscillation in close to real time. The device can also be monitored online via its own BLUETRACE software and conveniently operated via the display.
