BLUEWAVE in use

BLUEWAVE has proven itself in numerous installations. You can find current references here.

Measured values substantially below thresholds

The BLUEWAVE active harmonic filter (AHF) went into regular operation in a new facility at a large university clinic. It compensates for harmonic oscillations in the central building ventilation system so reliably that the measured values are well below thresholds. The electrical installation in the new facility is running without any problems. At first it did not appear so: The frequency converters in two fan units generated such strong harmonic oscillations that the system could not comply with the threshold values. Harmonic oscillations lead to overheated lines in the low-voltage network and disturb other electrical devices. This is why supervisors at the clinic decided to use the BLUEWAVE AHF for compensation.

The energy specialist KBR mounted four units, each with an output of 50 amps, for this purpose. The results even exceeded the expectations of the experts: Already in the default settings, BLUEWAVE ensured that the fan system maintained the threshold of 5 percent of overall harmonic content in normal operation. With optimized settings, the harmonic content has now been reduced to an average of around three percent. Distortion remains under the threshold value even under the most extreme loads.
